Near Wembley Alberta is the Pipestone Creek Park proposed home of the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum (River of Death Discovery Dinosaur Museum). There are 2 short walks here: one near the day use area and campground and the other up the road to the dinosaur dig. For more information visit the Pipestone Creek Park website.
This was the first Alberta Icons I knowingly visited after becoming aware of the program. However, since then, I have made it a goal to visit as many icons as I can in my travels around Alberta. Many of the icons are little more than tacky tourist traps but that has never deterred me before.
